WonderCon
San Francisco, February 2006 In the Exhibit Hall | Costumes | Panels | After Hours In the Exhibit Hall
Jackie and Batton had the Exhibit A booth set up just in time for the doors to open.
Jackie was the woman behind the man as Batton signed books, did sketches, and chatted with fans.
Helping out at the booth: Trevor Nielson, Mimi Cruz, and Robyn Hill (holding her copy of Fredric Wertham's Seduction of the Innocent, which she uses as an autograph book).
Trevor looked over Shepherd Hendrix's art for an upcoming Stagger Lee graphic novel (looks fabulous, Shep!), while Shep took a gander at pages for Trevor's own project, a Joan of Arc series.
Robyn Moore, wife and publisher of WonderCon guest Terry Moore (of Strangers in Paradise fame) stopped by the booth.
This legal secretary was getting a kick out of Mavis #4.
Meanwhile, Kayre Morrison is the proud owner of the last remaining pink Mavis shirt.
Batton said hello to Mark Masterson, the writer of the new fumetti-style Dorothy comic, a new twist on The Wizard of Oz.
This is the sort of stuff Batton looks for in the dealers' room!
Dan Brereton and wife Chartruz showed off their new "edition," Evan Brereton, in Artists' Alley.
Last-minute guest Frank Miller signed Sin City books at the Dark Horse booth, aided by editor Diana Schutz.
One of the many WonderCon surprises was a sneak peek at the new V for Vendetta movie during Warner Bros.' Superman presentation. All attendees got these cool masks. That's Jackie with hers in photo 1, the back of Robyn Hill's head, and Robyn Hill and Bill Morrison mask-to-mask.
